Welcome Back Mr. Hardy!
Congratulations to our newest Board Member, Curt Hardy, who was appointed to the open Board of Directors position on Wednesday, April 17th. Mr. Hardy previously served on Golden Valley Fire District's Board of Directors from 2008-2012, and we look forward to having him back. He was sworn in during the May 8th Special Board Meeting.

Summer Safety:
Summer is approaching, so it's important to watch children around water and vehicles.
Pool safety:
- Stay close, be alert and watch children in and around the pool. Never leave children unattended in a pool or spa; always watch children closely around all bodies of water; teach children basic water safety tips; and keep children away from pool drains, pipes and other openings.
- Learn and practice water safety skills. Every family member should know how to swim. Learn how to perform CPR on both children and adults.
- Have appropriate equipment for your pool or spa. This includes pool fencing, a lockable safety cover for spas, proper drain covers to avoid entrapments, and lifesaving equipment such as life rings and a reaching pole.

Car safety:
- Temperatures can reach 110 degrees inside the car when it is only 60 degrees outside.
- Don't leave children (or pets) alone in cars.
- Don't allow children to play in cars.
